Mission Statement:
The EMWP is an intensive,
by invitation only, Summer Institute that focuses on three related
activities:
(1) teachers refining and demonstrating their most successful
method for using writing in their teaching (2) reading and discussion
of current theory and research in the teaching of writing and
thinking; (3) practice in writing.
The EMWP is based on the
premise that the best teachers of teachers are other teachers. We
prepare teachers to serve as curriculum leaders who provide
professional development for their colleagues through in-service and
conference presentations.
