The Endless Mountains Writing Project (EMWP) promotes better writing in our area's schools. (We are now expanding into the IU Seneca Highlands area.)
Every summer we hold a summer institute that equips teachers. At these summer institutes, teachers develop presentations that they present at teacher in-service training and conferences. We also promote writing in our region through an annual writing contest and other writing events.

TEACHER IN-SERVICE OFFERINGS
Teachers who have taken part in Summer Institutes in the past are ready to take their show on the road! These practical sessions have been presented at the Keystone State Reading Conference, The National Council for Teachers of English, teacher training days at area school districts, and more!
If your school district is interested in arranging a teacher in-service program, check out our catalog of workshops we offer and contact Dick Heyler or Nanci Werner-Burke.
Each year EMWP sponsors a writing contest for both children and adults in our area. The winners are published in a book.
This year's contest is now over and winners have been notified. All
winning authors will be sent a copy of the final book, and top prize winners
will be recognized at the annual reception on March 5, 2010. Extra copies of
the book will be available for them as well.
